The Emergency Medical Division is responsible for providing advance pre-hospital emergency medical care to all of Barrow County citizens and visitors. Firefighters and Emergency Medical personnel are trained to serve in both capacities and work interchangeably during their workday. The Barrow County Emergency Services Department (BCES) includes Fire Rescue, Emergency Medical Services, Emergency Management and Emergency Communications within one blended department.
